Cheers to TWO years! It’s funny, the last blog I wrote was for the one year anniversary if that’s any indication of just how busy we have been. Time flies, and we are still having fun!
This past year has been unpredictable and prosperous! In early 2014 we expanded the brewery by adding a 7 barrel brewhouse, which provides almost 4 times as much fresh beer for all you thirsty
drinkers! While most of our sales are still in the taproom, we’ve been able to distribute kegs to many new bars and restaurants within Boulder and to surrounding cities. This means we have outgrown the “nanobrewery” category, though we kept the 2 barrel brewhouse to bring back and create new rotating seasonals. Despite any growth, we always plan to keep the small local and friendly vibes!
In the brewery Jake’s been able to brew many new seasonals this past year including a few different lagers and some fun barrel aged beers. In the taproom we’ve been busy pouring pints, flights, and filling growlers since launching a growler rewards program. Since we don’t bottle or can (yet…) the taproom is the best place to get the freshest beer straight from the source, which many people are taking advantage of!
Summer has been abundant-filled with tourism, festivals, and returning friends and locals! We still get to meet new people every single day thanks to the continual word of mouth from customers who send others to the ‘Woods. For this we are SO grateful. It’s been another great year, again because of YOU!! Thank you for supporting us and maintaining your thirst for handcrafted beer inspired by the outdoors!
Up next is the big 2nd Anniversary party this Saturday, September 27th from 1-9pm. Hope you can make it! Let’s all raise a glass together and enjoy new inspired beers, tasty food, and live music! Then next week we roll into our second Great American Beer Festival and are bringing some really unique beers this time around.
Once all the party dust settles…we’re excited to launch a cask program this fall featuring new beers as well as variations of our year round beers. The colder months offer such a great time to venture out and cozy up with some pints and friends, and we want to continue being the local, comfortable Boulder taproom you can call your own.
Thanks again to family, friends, “regulars”, new customers, the bars and restaurants that carry our beer, the festival organizers that have invited us to events, and to new craft beer industry friends for helping Wild Woods grow. We know there are plenty of amazing choices out there and we appreciate that you enjoy our nature on tap.
