Wild Woods turns 1 today! What a fast and fun year it has been. It was so daunting at first to take a chance at pursuing our dreams, but with the support of our family, friends, and newfound friends in the community we’ve had a really successful year!
Jake has been fulfilling his passion by nonstop brewing since months before opening to keep the beer flowing in the taproom as well as at several local restaurants. Besides keeping up with our 6 year round beers, he has cranked out 31 different seasonals so far…all by himself!!! Erin cut back to part time nursing to devote more time and creative energy to the brewery. Kristen and Charlie have been
pouring beers at the taproom, and have given Erin and Jake the chance to sneak away from time to time back into the real wild woods! We have also welcomed Kristen and Charlie’s new baby, Cole, into the family. Cole is a “regular” on Saturdays! Newest addition to our family is our first employee Anthony. He’s a server who has been with us several months and is such an asset to our team in so many ways.
We’re all very excited for what this next year is about to bring. To kick things off, this Saturday we’re having an Anniversary Party featuring new beers like BIG BONFIRE, an imperial version of our Campfire Red aged on cherry wood, and return favorites like TROPICAL PARADISE Imperial IPA with fresh mango and ginger. In just a few weeks we’ll be attending our first Great American Beer Festival-pouring and entering many of our beers for judging. In our taproom GABF week there will be many new beers tapped and a variety of food trucks as well. It’s time to have some fun!
EVEN BIGGER NEWS! A 7 barrel brew house has been ordered! There is plenty of room to grow in our same space and after just one year, we are breaking out of the nano category to go “big” time! This will allow us to keep up with our tasting room as well as get more Wild Woods beer out to even more locations.
Many positive things happening, none of which would be possible if it weren’t for all the people who drink our beers and have supported us. WOW! The best compliment yet has been the return customers who keep coming again and again and bring their friends and family. Thank you to those who connect with our concept and love the outdoors and beer as much as we do. Thanks to the surrounding breweries in Boulder who have helped us during the opening process and have inspired us to start our own adventure. Boulder is an amazing community to be a part of and we are honored to be recognized here.
Cheers to another year ahead of much more Wild Woods beer, inspired by the outdoors!
